Although my online internet vocab has grown to include (and accept!) abbreviations like "lol", "brb", "afk", etc., I still feel compelled to type everything out as best as I can, even if it takes me longer. I no longer correct other people and their spelling or grammar, but it irks me to see how some people type online nowadays. I'm only 31, so it's not like I'm some old teacher online irked at the shortcuts either :D I’m the same way.
