imaginary keyboard
I have an imaginary key board on my hands, mostly on my thumbs, but the space bar is the side of my pointer finger- anyway- I don’t know how this started- but when I am anxious, stressed, in an intense conversation, etc.- I will fixate on one particular word, and type it on my fake key board over and over again. Some of my friends who know me really well (and have seen me through some stressful or intense times) will notice it right away, and say “what are you typing?” Some of them can even guess what word or phrase, exactly, I’m typing. Not because they can see it on the keyboard, just because they know what word I would probably be fixating on.

I do almost the same thing! Only I type with my fingers exactly the same as I type on an actual keyboard. No one knows about this except one of my ex boyfriends. I guess other people just think I’m really twitchy (that what he thought before I told him the typing thing). Ever since I told him about that I freak out whenever I find myself typing in front of him. I’m afraid he might know what I’m typing, because sometimes i fixate on embarrassing words or phrases.

I do the exact same thing — with typing and with piano keyboards, depending on the situation.
