pain
i won’t take pain meds when i think i’m supposed to be in pain. like, i didn’t take anything after i had my wisdom teeth pulled- i just had bones pulled from my jaw and that should hurt. part of it is rooted in worry that if i’m masking my body’s natural reaction to being injured, i might miss a sign that something isn’t healing right. but i’m a walking pharmacy when i’m not in pain.

omg…I take painkillers occasionally (recreationally) but when I have a headache I won’t take aspirin
