jesus is everywhere
Ever since I was told in third grade that Jesus is everywhere, I’ve been scared out of my mind that he’ll just appear when I least expect it. I can’t turn on a light in a dark room without fear of him being there. I am an atheist.

i dont get it. you dont believe in jesus, but you are scared of him showing up? how can be scared of something you dont believe in?

Actually, I was raised by crazy Southern Baptists, and they were always going on and on and on about the Rapture and how people who were left behind would end up getting beheaded if they didn’t accept the mark of Satan. I’m 24, am fairly confident that the Rapture isn’t happening, and to this day if I call my mom and she doesn’t answer or I can’t find her somewhere, I panic and become convinced that she has been Raptured and I’m going to get beheaded.

YES! Me too! I am an atheist, but I was raised Catholic, and at times–especially if I’m alone and its dark–I’ll just think to myself, “Jesus? Are you in here?” No joke.

I think Jesus is everywhere. I am glad that He is. Better Jesus than George W. Bush, who is nowhere, Osama Bin Laden who could be anywhere, and the Republicans who are also nowhere. Did someone give you a rough time at church? Churches can be weird. Jesus isn’t weird.
