perfect, beautiful books
I can’t read a used book. Books (hard or soft cover) can’t have a single blemish or bend on the cover. When a book is too used I’m too distracted to continue reading it. I also cannot associate myself with people who dog ear pages.

i’m the opposite. i love brand new books, but i hate reading out of them.
i love reading worn books. not abused, but just…well-loved books.
i like knowing that someone enjoyed the book enough to wear it in a little.
I hate people who dog ear pages because they hurt books! When I read a book from the library or such I constantly fix every little bent corner in it. That said, my favorite kinds of books are ones that have been read many times and are old looking–even better if they have handwritten notes or drawings in them. They have even more life to them. A boyfriend once gave me a book of sophie’s world, it looked ancient, with a letter written on the first page–I love that book more than any other book I own. Not because of its story at all though.
I don’t mind if they book has been read by someone I know, but I can’t read a book from the library because I’m afraid that someone was reading it while sitting on the toilet.
ME TOO!!
I’m so glad I’m not alone on this one….
SAME!
everyone thinks I’m weird when I do this, I’m glad to no I’m not the only one!
AMEN! I actually broke up with a girl one time because she kept dog earring pages in my books.
I’m like this to an extent, but I can generally stand used books. When first buying a book, though, I try to find the least damaged one.
I can’t stand when people dog ear pages!!!!
