i am neurotic.

I always have to have something in my lap when I’m sitting down – be it my purse when I’m out in public or pillows and blankets when I’m at home. If there’s nothing there I get really nervous and feel like a part of me is missing.

Treadmills scare me. I won’t walk behind the row of them at the gym because I’m afraid that someone will fall off one and get flung into me.

When ever i’m doing busy work or some boring task i sing/hum the same song “why can’t we be friends, why can’t we be friends…” and i realized this has been going on for over ten years now. I don’t even care for that song.

When I’m hungry for something specific (but i’m not sure WHAT specifically) i go look in the fridge. Finding nothing of interest there i also look in the freezer and cupboard. With my hopes of finding something i want completely crushed, i return to the couch. I repeat the process again in a few minutes, hoping something will appear.

Whenever I take a drink of something, I make the satisfied “ahhh” noise afterward. Even if I’m not enjoying the beverage.

I know I lock my door when I leave my dorm room. I always lock my door. But if I don’t go back and check it at least twice after I start down the hall, I always expect to come back to find the room ransacked. I didn’t have time to back-track and check today, and it’s killing me, thinking about it.

Whenever I walk past a picket fence, I have to touch the tips of each post in the fence. I started this a year ago, just because I was bored, and now it’s a compulsion. I fear that if I don’t do it, something bad will happen to me. I’m also very paranoid about suspicions, omens and karma.

I can’t stand that the tags on this website are different sizes. I don’t understand why – is there a reason for it? Like the number of posts under each? Does the word get bigger with more posts or with more popularity, i.e. number of hits?

[Note: Yes, the tags get larger or smaller depending on the number of posts that have that tag.]

I flush and pee at the same time. I have to force myself to finish before the flashing stops so I can emerge as the winner.

I must have the first sip of my drink. My girlfriend has taken up this habit as well. if you share you drink with another the ‘Virgin’ sip should go to the one who holds ownership of the beverage. For some reason we assume that sip tastes the best.
