yogurt suction squirt
I hate peeling the top off yogurt. I’m always afraid the suction will cause yogurt to squirt all over me. I always have to have someone else open it for me, and I back away until the top is all the way off, then I can get close enough to grab the container back from them.

It’s not that that bothers me about yoghurt, but licking the lid itself makes me feel sick.
ewww yes lid licking – i always think about the fact that that metal had to be produced in a factory somewhere and how sterile was the environment??? although for some reason this doesn’t bother me as much in relation to the plastic of the container itself.
OMG OMG! I was about to post about yogurt but looked through the newest ones first. How surreal!
I was going to say that I can’t watch or partake in licking yogurt tops and I refuse to eat yogurt unless it’s properly stirred first. I remember my best friend in junior high ate it straight up and I remember thinking “woah, people can eat it without stirring?!”.
I still can’t take it though. I mean, I have licked the lid and tasted w/o stirring but I just can’t do it w/o getting chills.
Ugh, I do the same thing with condiment packets.
Why don’t you just open it away from you (as in pulling the lid toward you instead of away from you). That way, it won’t explode all over you.
I always have to lick the lid. Always.
This post made me re-try the licking the lid thing again. It tasted just as great as the yogurt I was eating. Still gives me the willies though.
