chipless hands
When eating chips, I cannot stick my hand in the bag. I just can’t. This, of course, means pouring the bag out, or tearing it open, even if this is at a great inconvenience to me (for example, while walking down the street).

Hey, this is actually good! It’s a hygiene thing. I learned it when camping with a group, from our leader person. It’s way healthier (as far as germs go) to pour out what you will eat, rather than everyone reaching in with their not-necessarily clean hands. Inconvenient sometimes, but overall good =)
Know what my dad taught me? Cut across the bag with scissors (obviously leaving about 2-3 inches room so that you can retain freshness). Makes everything so much easier and the back of your hand will thank you ; )
ACK! tearing the bag is one of my biggest pet peeves.
