I have a fear of running on pavement while barefoot and tripping onto my toe, scuffing the front of it and my toenail on the ground. Because of this I always wear shoes in the summer and walk very carefully if they are open-toe.

This is TOTALLY rational, because this happened to me a couple months ago. It hurt pretty bad, but it also made me feel so gross inside.
when would someone run barefoot on pavement? isn’t there other obstacles to scraped toes like broken glass, doggy doo, cigarette butts, etc? i love going barefoot but not on the sidewalk!
I hate going barefoot on pavement! I do go barefoot most of the time in the summer, but I spend a lot of it on grass.
