mimick to remember

If I ask someone to repeat something back to me, I have to speak in unison with their words to make sure I understand it correctly. If I don’t do it, I have to ask them to repeat it again.

having someone do that to me would drive me mad because if you could repeat it at the same time you obviously understood it clearly the first time.

Well, it’s not really repeating what they said, I just mimic their mouth movements for some reason. I usually tend to not make it noticable so that no one thinks I’m crazy.
