i am neurotic.

Whenever I send text messages, there has to be an even number of characters left before it starts a new text message. If not, I add a space or another character so that the number is even.

When I’m on the elliptical trainer at the gym, the rate of incline and the resistance have to match. They also have to be on even numbers.

I cannot stand anything that has odd numbers in it. For example, if one of my classroom numbers ends in an odd number that’s all I think about all class. My alarm clock must be set on an even number at all times, as well. I can’t stand the fact my birthday is 7/11.

I have an uncontrollable urge to arrange things in perfect multiples. Say nine cans of cola have to be in three sets of three, and 12 apples in three sets of four, or four sets of three. 17 would be undesirable — I’d have to throw out that extra can of cola to make it a nice four sets of four. Even on a restless night, I count sheep in this fashion. I can’t possibly throw the odd sheep out, but I’ll make it jump over the fence in the fastest speed possible.

When I make posts to my site on tumblr.com, I have to alternate between image posts and text posts. It just doesn’t look right to have too many of one type of post in a row…

I can only eat chips (french fries) when they are lined up in parallel.     However, on the opposite side of this I can’t eat them if they form a symmetrical shape (e.g. an even number of them, or they are arranged to form a shape).

My odometer can never be stopped at an odd number. If as I’m parking, my mileage is odd, I must continue driving around the parking lot or up and down the street until the mileage turns even, and only then can I park.

I cannot walk on an uneven number of Manhole covers. I will jump over them, walk in the road or even change the route that I walk in order to avoid it as it is bad luck. Even numbers though bring good luck so it isn’t all bad news.

I run 10+ miles everyday. It only became this much because when i’m on the treadmill, i can’t stop until distance, calories burned and time are all very even numbers. And will not stop running until this happens. i.e. 10.5 mi, 1200 cal, 90 min.

I used to have a girlfriend, and whenever this girlfriend and I would kiss, I couldn’t deal with kiss #2. If she kissed me twice, it would drive me insane. If I would kiss her and then she would kiss me, I would have to give her one more kiss to avoid the number 2.
