i am neurotic.

I frequently push random bricks on walls everywhere I go in the hopes that one day it will become loose revealing a hidden map or get pushed in opening a secret room.

When I ride the escalator, I cannot touch the handles/sides instead I stand really still while riding it.

I have a problem with people’s feet touching things that don’t belong to them. Not because I don’t like feet, but because I feel like if your feet touch something that doesn’t belong to you, they will be very very dirty, and I can’t stand dirty feet.

When I was younger my grandparents bought me and my brother harry potter towels. To this day I’ve never EVER used them because I’m afraid if I do, something bad will happen to my parents just like in Harry Potter.

I canNOT touch the bottom of my shoe if my life depended on it. Even if it’s with just my nail, I cannot even bare to touch it. If i accidentally do, I have to make sure that finger doesn’t move or touch anything else until I wash it.

Every time I go by a wall or something, and I touch it, I have to touch it for the amount of times that I am old. For example, if I poke a wall, and I’m currently 20 years old, I have to poke it 20 times. And if by some coincidence I miss one, I have to star over until I have touched it 20 times in a row.

When I see smooth or soft things, I get a strong urge to rub them on my lower lip. Freshly buffed nails, my dog’s ears, silk shirts, the back side of a cd, laminated book covers, the list goes on. I think that my lower lip is a better judge of softness/smoothness than my fingers.

When ever i take a new piece of bread from the packet i always have to take the third slice down from the top, new loaf of bread or not, i just can’t stand the thought of anyone else having touched the same slice and then me eating the same piece they’ve touched.

When I shower (even at home) I can not shower without my “shower shoes”. I also refuse to take a Bath. It grosses me out! I hate touching tiles and I feel dirty if I do. If my washcloth touches the tile while I am showering, I feel dirty and have to run it under really hot water!

I use a clipboard at work. Whenever my shift is over, I feel the need to touch every corner of the clipboard with both hands and put it back in the drawer perfectly straightened. If something interferes with this strange ritual, I do it again.
